My alarm starts buzzing, it must be time to get up for class. As i roll out of bed my tv turns on automatically with the weather forcast for the day. It looks like it will be a lovely sunny day, so I went to my closet and decided to wear shorts and my favorite tank top. The new style had just came out, it was a shirt that changed colors with your mood, just like a mood ring would.
I walked into the kitchen and there was no longer a variety of cooking appliances, those were replaced several years ago. Now I only had one microwave like appliance, but instead of heating up whatever you had in your pantry, you would punch in whatever you felt like eating for the day. Within moments a fresh cooked and healthy meal would teleport into the microwave like box and it was ready to eat. This morning I chose a delicious omelet.
Once I was ready for class I teleported to my classroom and sat down for my lecture. After class a group of my friends and I teleported back to my house we sat around and talked while watching one of our favorite bands hollographic concerts right in my living room. After grubbing out on some lunch we all hopped into my car to go to the beach, it was too nice of a day to just teleport there.
Cars are pretty cool these days, they have no wheels and hover above the ground. While there were still some old cars that drove on the roads, the majority of people had hovercars. It makes traveling time much faster because we can just head straight towards our destination and not take the winding roads. Oh, and accidents... they don't happen. The new cars have sensors around them that stop when another object comes too close. It is pretty convenient.
After a long day I came home and my room and I discussed my plans for tomorrow as I got ready for bed. He helps remind me of homework assignments, appointments, and plans I have made for the week. As I got into bed I told my alarm what time I wanted to get up in the morning and I fell right asleep.

I would love to have a room that can tell me everything I have planned for the day. This would help me out alot because I am very forgetfull. The sensor on the hover car to stop it from getting in an accident sounds like a great idea, you should suggest it to the company who decides to make hover cars in the future, if they are made in our life time. My sister made a hover car in her high school engineering class , but it is not strong enough to support more than one persons weight.
ReplyDeleteI like how you mentioned the shirt that changes color similar to a moon ring. I really think that thirty years from now, our lives are going to be surrounded by technology and help make things easier, such as having your room discuss what your plans were for tommorrow and what needs to get done. It would be amazing to have holographic concert in the middle of your living room too. You would not only get to enjoy listening to the band perform, but you would feel as if you are there.
ReplyDeleteThe "mood ring" type shirt sounds like a pretty neat idea. Thirty years from now sounds like it will be full of technology. I agree a lot will change in the next thirty years, but I don't really know if it will be for the better. I think that with all the new technology we will lose the family time and communication towards one another. It would be neat to have the holographic concerts right in your living room but I think going to a concert live would still be a lot of fun. The future of today is going to be huge change but will hopefully be for the better.
ReplyDeleteCool that is a future i would like to live in. I like the idea of the microwave like appliance that gives makes the food you want. (Great idea) I also like the hovering cars and teleportation that is something I am looking for in the future whenever that maybe. I enjoyed reading about your day in the future I can now imagine how the new changes will affect my day.
